i have a 99 GT and my passenger door and the fender aren't aligned, so when i open the passenger door the panel on the outside of the door catches the fender and makes this horrible cracking sound and the door won't open all the way. its also causing this panel to come off. Anyone else run into this problem?.......any suggestions on what to do?

take it to a body shop if you aren't confident enough to align the stuff

sounds like the vehicle was hit in the front at some point in time moving the fender back.

exactly, which means it needs to be fixed by a body shop, there's nothing you can really do

I agree with Camaro and Flatline. It sounds like it's been hit before and not pulled correctly. Also, DO NOT make the mistake of opening the door hinge holes up nor the fender holes for a "little" shim room. Things can get way out of whack.
Take it to a reputable body shop. It will be a quick fix for them.
