Ok here's the deal. 1999 GA GT
All of the sudden my blinkers start acting up. No matter what direction is on, ALL the lights up front blink and they blink fast. I have a recall, but I'm not sure of what the recall is for exactly. All it says is "inoperable blinkers". Oh, and this only happens if the lights are on. (so manually or at night)
Next on the list is my horn, just stopped working. Replaced horn - nothing.
Then there's the cruise control that just stopped working.
The horn, the cruise and the blinkers all happened at the same time.
THEN a couple weeks later (today) my SERVICE VEHICLE SOON light comes on. Book says it's the DRL/ACL control. DAAAHHH!!!!
So anyone have this same problem or anything - what did you have to go through to fix it?
Thanks in advance

The blinkers sound like a problem with the hazard switch. If you got a recall notice I'd take the car in ASAP.
With all this happening, I'd also be checking out the fuse panel. Could be a blown fuse that's causing your problems.

oh, forgot to say - changed ALL fuses, and ALL relays and chaned every single light bulb on the outside of the car......... Being a mechanic myself, this is the first thing I did/checked. Also checked for stripped wiring or pinched wiring. The ONLY thing I have modded with the Lights were my fog lights. I installed the Hellas.
Funny thing is, I work at a shop and I do ALL their electric crap and it's always perfect. I just can't figure out my freggin' car!!!!
Oh, and the dealer will have my car all day Thursday, I was just trying to beat them to fixing the problem so I didn't have to pay them.
Maybe it's time to trade up to that Lincoln LS.

You checked the fuses/relays under the hood too?

I'd check the contacts in the multifunction lever switch in the steering column . They may be defective or covered in grease etc. and require cleaning .

have you done anything on the rear deck, ie under the cover? i know that when i dynamatted my rear deck i loosened a ground box and never retightened it. i had a similar turn signal issue, found that loose ground, tightened it, and problem was solved.
the horn still sounds like a fuse issue. if you do electrical work then you probably have a test light. use it and check the fuse to see if power is even getting to the fuse. i know that sometimes when the battery or alternator is starting to fail wierd things start to occur in teh car, similar to what youre experiencing.

so I called the dealer because I knew it was electric. I work on cars for a living and really didn't feel like getting too deep in my own car. Dealer tells me $104 and hour - I'm like well, I'll pay you one hour to see what you find. The found a bad ground pinched by the collision shop that put on my new bumper a couple years back when it shattered. They fixed the ground which fixed my blinkers, horn and cruise. Why those 3 things are on the same line, I have no idea. Well, I guess if they share a ground - then ok. So then I picked up the car and drove it to my shop and figured out the problems with the headlights.
It sucks, when you have to fix everyone elses car and you don't even feel like fixing your own.
