Car starts ok but sometimes does not idle. Cuts out when you take foot off the gas. Have to restart and rev up to keep it going and then it cuts out wnen put in drive. It does this even after a 10 mile run. Seems to me like a sensor problem but which one ? The local garage wants $100 just to plug in a diagnstic check but if fault is not there when he checks it could be a waste of money. Also no warning light comes on which the garage said was strange. Changed the spark plugs to no effect. Anyone had this problem ?

a do it yourself computer code tester. I bet it is something that you could find there. They are only 25 dollars around there and I bet that you could fix the problem yourself pretty easily. Just a thought.

Found a friend of a friend with a code checker. Car came up clean with no codes displayed. Gas emissions checked out perfect as well. I am thinking of replacing the idle air control valve but they are $97 +tax so if anyone has ever replaced this please let me know. Its easy to fit but could be a waste of time and money.

Check your Air filter........Bet you can't see through it looking at a light.
if not get a new one.

If it stalls when you put it in gear the torque convertor clutch (TCC) may not be releasing.

i was wondering the same thing, people with the 3.1 seem to think they have the 3.0, does anyone have a 3.0????? or is it a Rare one like the 2.0 Turbo?

You know, I just found out a few months ago that I'm the moderator for this section. Guess I never looked before! :lol:

I have only seen one 3.0 GA and it was on another site, but it got into a accident. The 3.0 base off the 3800, so is the 3.0 a 3000?

hmmmm mabye. i dunno, is it got much power? whats its specs (3.0)
