Decided to take a couple of pictures before I rip the motor out to send it to the shop to get it redone. Picture doesn't do it justice though, everything is either polished or repainted, even the nuts and bolts :D

And here is a shot of my windshield after the bonnet blew up and destroyed both, only had the scoops remolded into the bonnet about 2 weeks before this happened

Veeeery nice job on the engine. Awesome attention to detail. I think I'll double check my hood latch before I drop the new motor in :D

Actually, the red V/C and intake is how it came from the factory! Really!

I thought everyone in this forum knew that...but I see someone owns a Grand Prix...tsk-tsk-tsk.

I repainted intake and v/c gloss black to go with the metalic black car and found some blue plug wires. We'll see how it turns out.

I also got a line on a larger throttle body that may work with our cars. Will post details in my "it's alive" thread when I get around to it.

Sorry your having to start over, the motor looks great !!!!! I am in the middle of trying to redo a 1989 Turbo GA. I would happy if mine looks half as good.

I could not tell from the picture, but did you replace the stock air box with a cold air intake ?

i knew that. i was just saying dont slap a ton of yellow crap on there, like yellow wire loom or something. Basicly dont continue the red/yellow theme beyond the engine parts and the wires.

Actually I had the yelleow wire loom done and stripped it all... it became to over powering.
This time around I decided to throw in some blue, hard to see in the picture but I did the windsheild wiper motor, starting motor and a few bolts here and there. Not alot but I've had alot of people looking at and all of a sudden they spot a blue peice and you can see the surprised look on there face :D

But I like the poished metal the most!

Yes I did, I had a machine shop do me up a peice of pipe which barely slips between the body and the rad so that my cone filter is right out by the grill... I was afaid of water and debris at first but I haven't had any problems yet

Yeah it pisses me off... 2 bolts could off pervented it
What amazes me though is the scoops or the figerglass didn't even crack
I was lucky though, I just pulled out from a parking lot and just shifted in 3rd gear when it happened, about 20 minutes before that I was dragging with my brother doing 160km
