I know there's guys here that know a lot about what cais will fit and what won't. My car is a 2000 GrandAm with the six.

For this question, it doesn't matter if it's a SE or a GT. It's like the kid at autozone asking if my GrandAm is a 4 wheel drive or 2 wheel drive when shopping for a new air filter.

its doesnt matter if its the GT or SE
as long as it has a 3 inch diameter, it should be ok

It will work but obviously there will have to be some extensive modification to allow it to fit properly. I would try to find a different one though with out that little stem coming off the one pipe. Since that is the one that will be going into your fender you won't want it there, because it will cause you nothing but a headache...Maybe a 92-96 Prelude cai would work better...I don't know.

Something like this...

You will also need 3, 3" couplers.

Those first two wont work well. They are designed to run across the four cyl. engine not directly down to the fender well. Go with the one pontiacga99 posted.

The first two could and would work. I have used the Prelude one for my cai setup on my 3100 which is almost exactly the same as the 3400. I didn't know there were Grand Am cai for so cheap. Yeah I agree just go for that.

yeah except what does the end of that one for the GA look like and exactly where does it go? That thing looks like it has the potential to suck up about a gallon of water at every puddle. I'd get a shield to go with it.

just cut it apart and use a few couplers to get it to fit exactly how you want it, mine was a custom civic intake I cut up and it sucks air right below the headlight, I've yet to see it get wet even after driving in rain for several hours, I pulled the headlight out as soon as I get home and it was dry.

I know the 96-98 have a splash shield underneath so I don't have to worry about any water, and haven't so far. not so sure about the 99+. Unless you drive into a lake :roll2: or a huge ass puddle that would submerge the filter, you'll be fine.
