The NGK Iridium are the best there is for our cars. TR55-IX is the part number...

you will not notice any "real" performance gains by upgrading to a better spark plug.

:agree:

Unless of course your current plugs are so far gone that they're severly hindering performance. :)

But I'll second the Iridium plugs. I used NGK TR-55IX plugs in my '99, and was very pleased. Smoothed out the idle some, seemed to work well. When it's time, they'll be going in the '03.

... unless you have 'all the rest of the good' to go with it :), but in stock engines, I do agree :)

Accel coil packs, Taylor wires and NGK plugs will give you about 2HP. What it really does is sparks better. When It combusts hotter, faster, stronger you get rid of all the lag. It will give you a little more torque. But it is for better all around preformance for your car. It makes the other engine upgrades work to there full potential.

Taylor wires s*ck, in my opinion. I had a set and had 2 wires go bad in 7 months! My car's running better w/ Autolite wires. 'Still using TR-55 plugs though, but might go back to A/C Delco plugs, unless I decide to splurge on Iridiums later.

For 60° GM vehicles, i use nothing but ACD R43TLS or ACD Rapid Fire #3's

... I have always used AC plugs in my GM engines, but this time, I thought I'd try the NGKs and so far I haven't had any reason to be upset with them :)
