What kind of Plugs and wires would you recommend so that I can feel/see/hear some kind of a differance? Also, what kind of prices am I looking at? Thanks.

as you might have noticed you don't see a distributor on this car. where is it? ... Direct Ignition System ;)
all you can really upgrade are the plugs. and that's about it.. unless you can find some decent coil packs which I have yet to hear about..

Yeah i took apart my ignition system a little while ago... really weird. are there any cars other than the ga that have this direct ignition system? Also, is it better than having a distributor and wires???
Lastly, what are some good spark plugs to upgrade to?

I think the IDI system is way better than the old cap/rotor/wires.
Why, there are none of the above to go wrong. It also eleminates the timming/vacumm advance/ type things that go with the old style ignitions.
My 2.3 quad 4 is close to the same motor as you have, I like to tease punks, that I can't find my distrubitor cap or wires, can you help me find them.

There are no significant performance gains by just upgrading your plugs and wires...maybe a tiny bit, but not much. Unless they are worn out, theres not much sense in spending the extra money to replace them. I did put Taylor wires on my 3.4, but just cause they are red (to match my car) and some new iridium plugs while I had everything apart, but there was very little if any performance gain. My car only has about 17,000 miles anyway.

I just put some Bosch Platinum2 in mine. I think it idles and runs smoother now. Got them for $4.00 a plug at NAPA. For Platinum AC Delco they wanted over $5.00.

How about Iridium plugs, anyone ever tried those, a friend of mine said I should get some, but at almost $9.00 a piece they aren't cheap
