well thurs nite me,my b/f and my friend mike and my b/f's friend all went to a club in cambridge ma,well we were driving home,we hit a huge pothole,my front tire went and then we noticed the rear also went on the passenger side, both my front and rear rims on the passenger side are bent to sh**.it was a accident,I was happy that we were near a gas station, cuz if we were on the highway who knows what would have happened.here are some pics,my insurance company is going to cover my rims,I called the dealer and they said my rims were 600 each, and that I couldn't get them till tues,so for now Im riding on donuts.Im also going to make sure I put in a complaint to the town of cambridge.and possibly sueing them for the damages.

If your DOT is anything like NY's DOT, good luck, they will most likely reply with something like it wasnt their fault and weather/season was to blame. Most likely you'll have to put a claim in on your insurance under comprehensive. Here in NY if you make a comp claim - your ins doesnt go up because it was due to bad roads and not an accident :)

Sucks anyway, :(

Im also trying not to drive it that much,I'll just have my b/f pick me up or a friend.

My aunt tried sueing for a pothole, or a larger hole in the road.

They laughed at her and she got pwned in court.

The city is always right, and unless you can prove that you or your boyfriend sustained like...massive head trauma, good luck with the court case.

Sorry to hear about your car. :-/

you shouldnt put the 2 donuts up front, put them in the rear. most of the cars weight is up in front, putting the donuts there would ruin the donut, and decrease the amount of control you have over your car. put both donuts in back. if you read ur manual it also says that any time you have a flat in the front, put the donut on a good rear tire and take the good rear, and replace it in the front for the short time till you get it fixed. either way bibi, that sux i am really sorry to see this happen....

Sorry to hear about your car, potholes suck! Like blackgt2k said, you really should put the spare in the back, driving with two different size tires on the front could possibly tear your axles up. Hope to see you get your car fixed soon!

If I got 1200 from insurance I would get some aftermarkets/ easily.

I'd get me some polished 077's. I don't care how overused they are. Still the best looking rim for our car.

Rhode Island only covers up to $300 of the damage. Around here we get potholes inside of potholes. There was one here they didn't fix till it was 5 feet around, and a 3 inch deep pothole inside of that.

Ohhh, but I bet you could do some nice burnouts with the donuts on the front :D :D :D (and I better say I'm kidding so no one thinks I'm really that stupid...)

yeah they wont pay for your damages unless you can find someone who had made a complaint about the same hole more than 24 hours ahead of your accident. if someone did then im pretty sure the city is then required to either mark or fix said pothole. im sure someone complained about it a week ago. but no one will ever know

what club in cambridge and what street was the pothole on?
my girlfriend bent one of her rims on a pothole in boston last week
