Hi, I own a 99 GA V6 and I'm having a recurring problem with my

cylinder misfiring. It mostly happens when it's moist outside. Most

of the time it's either cylinder 1 or 4. The spark plugs are about a

year old and the cables too. I replaced the injector for cylinder 1,

but same problem keeps coming back. I heard the GM 3400

series has some problems with that hapenning. LIke I said before

it comes and goes, sometimes it lasts days sometimes hours. Any

help would be appreciated. PCE

I'm having the same problem with my 2.4. A trusted mechanic friend told me to change my spark plugs and wires and I should be all set. I don't know about you though because they are only 1 year old..

I assume you know it's 1 & 4 by testing.
They share the same coil, I believe.

Try swapping coils with the 2-5 or 3-6 coil.

If the problem goes away, it was prolly loose/dirty connection (on the underside of the the coil) that was 'solved' by simply unplugging/replugging.

If the problem 'follows' the old 1-4 coil, then there's an internal fault with the coil. Replace it.
An intermittently-faulty coil isn't that rare with the 3.1/3.4.

Good luck.
