CAI + sound

Im gonna have to get my but going on extending my AEM WAI into a CAI! I love the sound from CAI's,more growl, not to mention the massive sound of being sucked in when you tap the gas pedal:D

Yea,CAI's do help in both sound and performance....

Anyone know if I get a Civic WAI and cut it in sections that Id be able to extend my AEM WAI into the fender well? I have a 2.4,dunno if anyone has done that or not.

and VanishingImage that could work since the end of the tube is in about the same place as the intake on the 3400. I also like my ebay specal WAI. Don't notice any pick-up unless I punch it at 70

Yea,thats what Ive been noticing with more and more pics Ive been seeing of the 3100 and 3400's with CAI.Thnx for mentioning that,wouldn't have thought of it

Whoa, what you boys need is the sweet sweet imitation sounding BOV from the CAI. Depending on the design, your CAI can make a whistle sound in first gear if you hit the gas right. I loved that sound but I dont hear it nearly as often now due to the exhuast note, but you can still hear it on the outside or driver side.

^LOL..... As for the BOV imitation sound, my WAI actually gives off that sound,couple of my family members were in the garage talking as I turned the car off and they kind of quickly looked at my car and said they heard this big whistle/sucking sound and my dad said its his aftermarket air intake. Nothing really noticible but to older grown ups(no offense just stating) will react to things like that

yeah intakes are great, that noise/sucking/hissing is the PCV valve if I remember correctly. sounds good. I have videos of my car with the intake inside, http://www.robry.org/vids/gagtvids/ . I need to get some outside ones sometime, damnit :)

Yeah when I had my intake rigged as a WAI for a day because I had the wrong couplers it changed sound. That was 100% better than stock and when I got the CAI on the next day that was 100% better than the WAI.

Heheh or, if you wanna be dumb, just loosen up a couple of the couplers a bit. It allows more of a BOV sound so you can brag to your buddies you got a turbo :rofl: ;)

I got my WAI on ebay for $40 I just need to get a true K&n or KoolBlue filter on it. I dunno it they even make a CAI for the 2.4

They make a SRI or WAI for the 2.4L. Im just not sure wehre she got it. Ask RedFireUFO where she got hers, I think she still kicks around her on rare occasions.
