With the CAI, do you lose pick up? One thing i like about GA which is part of the reason i bought it is the pick up of the ram air. Even at 80mph, you step on the gas and the car goes. Is this lost with CAI?
I'm asking because i replaced my ram air with a cone filter which may be putting out more hp (I don't know) but i've lost the pick up. I mean the car now sounds like a mustang which is cool but there's now that delay which is not cool.

With the CAI you will lose a little throttle response, but the HP you gain from it is worth it. I went from a cone filter in the ram air (stock air box) to a CAI and it felt like a different car!

So is the CAI going to do better than just the cone filter I have on the car now?

It will make more power, but from when you stomp the gas to the time you take off there is a little bit of a lag, but the extra HP makes up for it. I used to be a WAI is better guy, but I said what the hell and stuck it in the fenderwell and it felt different, it was interesting at first.

I didn't notice any lag except in second at low rpm's which isn't good to begin with.

The Ram Air is a gimmick and does nothing, except gives you a nifty little badge on the side that says "V6 RamAir". You will like the Cone or CAI much better. There is a huge difference.

You will lose low end response with a CAI , so if you value this you may want to think about modding the stock setup . You will gain mid to upper power though no doubt there , but it's up to you to decide what you want , it's a trade off . ;)

:agree: ... I went from a STOCK 'SE' setup to a factory GT RAM-AIR setup and there was definately a difference ... nothing that was going to throw you in the back seat but there was certainly a difference!!
