5th gen:???:

anyway, nice car! welcome to the F-body Family. wouldn't have been my choice tho, i prefer the look of the 3rd gen, im a little biased tho, plus the kind of person i am i would end up ripping the motor out, and the way they got the damn thing wedged in there, no thanks.

looks like you got a nice toy there. id recommend getting the engine steam cleaned....that engine will shine up nice.

NO NO NO....never steam clean the engine..

Unless you have a 500 dollar opti laying around... then go right ahead. ;)

Nice car.. I would spend some time and elbow grease getting that engine cleaned up a little..but whatever you do don't spray it off with a hose or anything.

Nice ride!! I like it. You'll have to swing by someday so I can get a look at it. The engine is just showing the typical El Paso dust, damn wind storms.

There were technically four generations of F-Bodies. The 4th Gens were the bodies from 93-02, both Firebird and Camaro.

However, both cars received a few upgrades in 1998s model year.

still no 5th gen, i have a hard time saying there is even a 4th gen, almost everything from a 4th gen, will fit or bolt up(with little or no work) in my 3rd gen. but since there is a huge difference in the looks, ill give it the 4th gen title.

I dont plan on Any Big mods till i get out of the military. (year and half). I am going to clean up the motor. Maybe even pull off the valve covers and paint them. I need to give it a major tune up. New plugs, wires, coil, coil wire, fuel filter, belt, pcv valve, Remove and clean MAF, TB, i might get the pcm reprogamed, and as much as i hate to say it but i think that it might need an opti spark.

Dont fret over the opti man..I replaced one in my back yard... less than 2 hours time and drove to work. They are not really a huge ordeal like some people think.

Check out MSD for their new rebuilt kit... I would say its the best kit period.
