Yes, It can be done. I now that you will need new front inner fenders. I don't know of anything else.

Should be an easy swap. I personally just swapped out my rear SE bumper for a GT one and I guess it was pretty much a direct fit.

Yes the rear bumpers would be ease, but the Front inner Fender liners are different from the GT to the SE because of how the bumper is shaped.

i did the conversion as well (thanks kelly for a pic of MY car, lol) and the front inner fender liners DONT need to be cahnged, but they do fit differently. i jsut did some trimming and its all good now.

that hood is the SC/T hood available on www.pfyc.com i want that hood too.

Does the SE Ribs align up with the GT front and rear bumper or is it best to replace the ribs also?

as you can see, the different ribbing doesnt look too bad, it doesnt look quite as nice as a full gt gfx kit, but it would satify me since the front fascia is the only real ugly part on the SE's

it would look best to do a full conversion. i did the front, rear, and sides. looks like a GT now.

I agree, my neighbor put on GT bumpers w/ the Se side skirts & it just looks odd. The ribs don't flow well at all together. Might just be me but everytime I look at it it looks wierd & mismatched.

yea, i kept em, IN MY GARAGE, until a few weeks ago when i threw them away. the ribs really dont match up at all, the GT ribs go all the way down to the rockers, where the SE ones are just about a 1.5' strip. the GT ribs flow a little better.

Oh ya, the front bumper alone would be near $350. But for a used oem GT kit it's way too much.

I have a 2002 Grand Am SE, and i want to do the whole se to gt conversion the bumpers and the sides, when replacing the se front and rear bumper do you have to replace anything else other than bumper? and if anybody take the se ribbs off and put the gt ones on?

I new guy that did a search! THE SYSTEM WORKS! PRAISE US ALL!

Ahem; onto the topic at hand. All you would need is the front and rear bumpers, and the side cladding from a GT. Also, for the front, I have heard you need the inner fender lining stuff since its a different shape from se to gt. The SE ribs and GT ribs are both the same size and you can just adhere them with the double sided adhesive stuff that the SE ribs are held on with. I think.. maybe they are clips... either way its a pretty easy swap, pretty straight forward and everything is a direct fit since the cars measurements are nearly the exact same. Just make sure if you have a coupe, get the coupe parts, and if you have a sedan make sure to get the sedan parts. THe problem is finding the parts you need for a decent price and having them painted costs a bit as well (its more beneficial to find a set that is already the same color as your car)
