oh god no!! GT down Gt down, get the life rafts. Goddamn why cant SUVs go hit eachother for once and stop picking on the vehicles on the road that are actually worth driving? I'll cry if it is totalled, and Id cry 32097265 times harder if mine was totalled.

Yep. Sucks big time. Waiting to go through the whole insurance bullcrap.
Ryan, I don't think the insurance co. will like it if I tear things out before they come take it away. lol
Have no idea what I'm looking at next. Trying to get a leftover 04 GA or GTO.

hah, do it, insurance co's are bastards anyways, right before they totalled my 00 sentra I ripped off the emblems, the cd player (mine anyways), the hubcaps, the shifter knob, and some other random things that came out with out the need for tools. they got what they deserved, and those suckers still gave me $7k for it, which just barely finished paying it off.
:: at the very least take out allyour mods and put back in the stock stuff.

Just thought I'd give you an update. Filed a claim with my company. Gave them a copy of the accident report. Appraiser came out Friday to look at the car and I'll hear back about that soon.
Now I just have to sit on my hands and wait to hear back about something. :( Maybe I'll have a car by summer.

Sorry to hear about the car man, But judging by the way the pillar is bent and the roof is buckled, its probably totaled, insurance companies dont like to pay all that money out to get that fixed, theyre only out for themselves anyway. Bastards never care about what kind of ties you have with the car, trust me, I've been down that road before. But I really hope everything works out good for ya.

Actually, I want it totaled. There are so many things that need to be fixed on that car. New plugs and wires, starter is going, needs new shocks and struts, two regulators are going, A/C is going, etc. etc.
It sucks that I have to buy a new car now because I can't really afford it, but then I think about the things I have to fix and I'm glad because I don't have to spend a ton of money on a promblematic car. Don't get me wrong, I love it becuase it was my first car and I payed for it, but it was not reliable.
Oh, and I'm pissed because I have a full tank of gas in it too. lol

Thought I would bring this back from the dead.
Well, the car is totaled. No surprise. The lady has done nothing to handle the claim, she didn't even know the name of the insurance company of the lady that hit me. It was on the damn accident report I faxed to her 5 days after the accident! So I am letting my father and possibly my uncle whos a lawyer handle this. Apparently my dad lit a fire under a few people and someone higher up is handling my case.
The good news is that I signed the papers to a brand new 2005 Mazda 3 5speed. (Yea, I know, its not a GA. Don't hate!) I will be picking it up in about 11 days. I am getting a pretty good deal on it, its got a really good safety and reliablility rating, and it'll hold its value. Plus, its just too fun to drive and the payments will be slightly less stressful.
Well, that is about it. If there is anymore, I'll let you know.

You got yourself a damned good car. If I wasnt so loyal to Pontiac, a Mazda 3 or Protege would have been the car I bought.

Yea, it's a really fun car to fling around. Handling is amazing! So surefooted. I'm going to miss the low-end torque from the GA, but the VVT in the 2.3 really helps. I can pass people in 4th gear at 60 where as in my old Integra I would have to downshift to third to get any power.
The 6 is simply amazing. V6 with a manual is outstanding, and the handling is spot-on. But for $400+/month was way too much for me. But the 3 is essentially the same car as the 6 (chassis, suspension) so it'll still drive like the bigger car.

I actually like the 3 and 6 series Mazdas, very sharp looking cars, well built to me, everything looks great about em. My only probably is my head just cant see me in a Mazda.
Now if we had a GTO here ;)
