turbo question

if i removed the waste gate vacume line and took my car for a quick test run would it stop the waste gate from working ?

reason is i wana know if my turbo can make more boost or not cause its not working right so i figure keep waste gate closed and it should keep boosting till boom but i wont do such just quick test see if boost gauge goes up or not.

Yeah, that would work, but be careful; after 16 psi youre gonna grenade the engine.

ok so i just be careful and it should be ok i just need to know if the thing will work cause the boost guage dose not go past 1/2 on the dash and i think its something to do with the watse gate we will see.

Had the same problem. Installed an aftermarket gauge to get a better view. Was only getting 1-2psi. Fixed it by swapping out wastegate actuators. Now I'm playing around with a few simple/cheap ideas to get more boost.
