My cousins and all my friends are pressed over honda's and acura's. Either mechanics or working on there cars 24/7 I see the massive power those engine can put out. Being a strict american car lover I must admit those B-series engine can get you going. But on to my point. I don't see many parts avalible for our engines (LA1 3.4L). I have been looking into the HP T3/T4 turbo kit for maybe next spring. The question I had about that was
1 - Alcohol Injection System or DHP computer upgrade (exchange) at customer option*** . What exactly do they mean will my car have to be alcohol injected or I could change the PCM and run a higher octane (gas)? [URL=http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com/performance_parts/?item=389] that is the website for further clearification. The other issue was what can I start doing to prep my engine. Would pistons, new crank, lifters, spring, rocker arms, new valves, cams, and all that be nessacary? If so where are some places I could start looking and price matching? Any info would be great thanks...sorry for the long post

There are several posts about this already, try searching. What I got out of most of them is that money is best spent to upgrade the tranny before the internals. The stock one cant hold the turbo's power for too long.

Yea just thinking about all that....what would you suggest? I know I'm goin to need to upgrade my front axle and tranny. But where to begin or where to buy everything? Is it possible to swap the gears of a 4-speed vette and sencro's? Or other there other tranny's that can be bolted on that can handle the extra torque

Like everyone else was saying....the la1 will hold up to the challenge better than the 4t45 will. But if your dead set on doing the bottom end you can look up the following:
jbody has a forged crank, but its gonna cost you $$$$ and i dont know if anyone has ever broken a stock crank.
you can get rods from crower or other co. but those are also a tad pricey at around 800ish. (stock ones aren't terrible and can withstand 6k revs and mild boost.)
pistons you can get from diamond, JE, etc. in almost any size you want for like 600ish.
rings...hastings, total seal, etc (moly :)

since your doing all of this get your heads done (Ross Racing Engine doe a nice job :))...might as well upgrade the valvetrain too. 105#/130# springs. Manley will make you a set of valves for a couple hundred. You get the point, theres actually a lot out there that is available for these engines. Just got to know where to look. But they are all gonna cost big bucks $$$$.

As far as the 4t45 trans goes, theres one company I'd suggest, Rossler Transmission. Or theres always the 4t65...it fits GM's done it, no one else has. But with enough money anythings possible.

My opinion depending on what your goals are for the car. Get the turbo, get a rossler trans, have dhp tune it. Be happy.
