Removing Pinstripes

Just curious how many people have attempted or accomplished removing their pinstripes? On my 97 grand am se im not sure if they are painted on or if it is a sticker.. any clues or ideas on removing them?

They are a vinyl sticker. I removed mine very easily. Get a blow dryer and heat it up as you go along, this way there will be less residue and it will come off easier. I just used my finernail to get the pin stripes started. Then once you get them off use goo gone to take the residue off. Give it a good wash and wax and that's it. :)

I took some vinyl off my car a couple years ago I used a Presser washer that used hot water. I found that it left almost no residue, Try some of the car washes some of them use hot water. I only had a few spots were it left anything behind. (Keep in mind that my vinyl was not that old)

yea only reason i dont like them is cus my car is considered GOLD im not to fond of gold cars and the pinstripe is black and like a greenish.. i dunno i just got the car just trying to make it cleaner, im debadging it and jus ordered a aem intake and trying to figure out something for the tail lights and head lights!

i think removing it would be good, i have one also on a gold car that i dont really like

i love the pinstripes i have on my car. One grey and one burgandy on my white car. I think it makes it look sexy :)

i hate pin stripes. lol i got rid of them on ever car or truck i ever had :D
