I have a ticking noise in my speakers when I am playing my Music Keg, I don't hear it any other time so I figure I'm picking up the sound of the hard drive spinning, I do get an occasional sound of static while adjusting the volume when using the other functions of the radio.

I have tried putting a new amp in and that didn’t fix the problem; I have tried 2 different pairs of RCA cables so I don't think that is the problem either. The only other thing I can think to do is run the cable for the Music Keg straight to the back of the radio to see if it is picking up the noise, if that doesn't fix it I have no idea what to try next, any one have any ideas on where the noise is being picked up?

Thanks

Did you run your RCA's down the same side of the car as your power wire?

No, I have the power wire on the drivers side and the RCAs and wire for the satilite radio on the passanger.

I would just check every connection. Make sure the RCA's are holding on really well. I don't know what else it could be. Maybe a bad ground? Do you keep a cell phone near your deck? Sometimes that will cause problems also...

I just had to reroute the cable comming from the Music Keg and the noise went away. Thanks for the suggestions.

i was about to say. i've got a keg too and i don't get any noise. sometimes it has a brain fart and it plays the same song, no matter how many times i press ANY button and it has major static going on. kill the power to the radio for 10 min. or so and it's just fine. it's only done it about 3 or 4 times
