I have an exhaust system off a 98 GP... It is... um was... a GTX, 2door, black, gorgeous. Until it crashed or caught on fire and anyways ended up in the local junkyard.

Is there a way I can adapt any parts onto my GA? The 2 mufflers are center in/out, and I think it'd be better to go and get a f-body muffler and 2.5" pipes for it. Maybe I'll put the mufflers on, some old musclecar. :)

If you think different, or know anyting, let me know.

the mufflers are too big to fit, but I am sure if a shop is good enough they could get them to work and have the tips come out in the right spot, but i fyou have an old muscle car they will sound good on it. all you really need for either the GA or the muscle car is the muffs and tips if you want them, not much else you could use form the GP really.

Chevelle... I noticed that your project car is an old AMC. My uncle is really into restoring them as well :thumbup2:

Dave C, I'm glad there's someone else out there into Kenosha iron...

I'm from Grand Rapids, really the suburbs of. Kinda boring, I like driving around and taking pics of old abandoned cars, classics that "will be restored someday", and stuff like that.

Interesting finds are:
1940 Chevy Coupe (on my streetcorner, "will be restored someday"... yeah, right)
1974 Buick GS (about 3 miles form home)
1977 Pontiac LeMans (complete, body rusted, good project at the junkyard)
pre-1955 Chevy sedan (about a mile forom home)
1977~ TransAm (no interior, no engine, no tranny)
19xx Buick Riviera 455 (boattail Rivs are beautiful)
Old Willys Truck (used to be towtruck, would be nice for parts for a willys project, it lives alongside a farmer's field)
a bunch of others, I lost count.

p.s. I checked out your GA, I like it:)

oh, if anyone wants to buy the SLP GP pipes, PM me, I'll sell them for $20+shipping, since

a) for me to get it home from the junkyard, I had to cut from the "splitter" back

b) surface rust. I thought it was stainless. It is off a GP GTX, which was souped up by SLP, right?

c) I'm going to keep the mufflers and the tips.

d) so what's left is the pipes, and I guess they'd work on a "budget buildup".

Thanks :)
To tell you the truth, I probably don't know as much about the classics as you... But I really respect anyone who restores them, I think they are beautiful :agree: I can pick a couple out of that list which I would like to see made new again!

Anyway, too bad you're not over on my side of the state! There's no one from Ann Arbor here :( Hey, we might be putting on a car show here at U of M in the fall, you should come check it out!

And if you know of any GR area car clubs (or any clubs in MI), PM me and if we can allow non-students to enter then I would like to invite them.

dave,
i'm not sure how many car clubs are around, I know some good places for classics/musclecars/rods for cruise nights, and where the import kids gather. Maybe they'd pay me to watch the scanner so when the cops get word of the HondaKids bang-shifting all 46whp, I'll know and by the time those kids get outta there, they'll probably be in the backseat of a cop car.

That is just the piping right, what is the diameter?

How much do you think shipping would be to 75860?
