hey,

well this is my first time at trying to wire up a system in my car. my friend did my last one and all the wiring to the battery and stuff was there from the previous owner. we now have to re-wire everything to compensate for the power increase.

anywho, as far as wiring the subs to the amp, we are going to be running it 4 ohm mono.

i found this diagram to help me out, but i have a question (and it may be a dumb one :( )

now, where the dot is on each line, how is that joined together and run into the one slot on the amp??? like i said, it may be a dumb question, but this is my first shot at doing this on my own and want to make sure it gets done right.

thanx for any help guys!!

would that be a distribution block or something like that to make that single output get to both subs????

I'm no car audio expert, but I think you can run both wires from one terminal on the amp.

Depends what guage wire you are using. I think I have 12 or 14, theres no way I could connect 3 of them together, so I'd prolly need a D-block (if thats what you use), but if your running 16 or 18 guage, you could prolly just twist them together very nicely and tape them up really good.

aka im not an expert at this at all, so take someone eleses advice over mine.

I woudn't twist and tape. I was thinking stacking the spade conectors of each wire set, in the terminal strip of the amp. Or if you can fit all the speaker wires in one spade.

i got it figured out last nite. instead of using the terminals on each side of the box, i just drilled a small hole in the middle and ran all the wiring inside of the box. then i caulked it shut again to seal it up. that worked just as well and didn't have as much wiring laying around outside.

btw, it turned out great and these hit pretty hard. power acoustik lt1440 and two pioneer ts-w305dvc 12" subs. very happy with the set up. only ran me $285 for the amp and subs.

anywho, thats it all done. now just to enjoy the new thump.

don't do anything stupid like i did though if your fuse blows! don't put wire around it.... that is the stupidest thing to do now that it happened it turned into like dust and melted into my amp costing me 500 bucks when i could of bought a new fuse for 2
