I just got the CAI I ordered off ebay, but I cant figure out how to get the rest of the ram air parts off so i can install the CAI pipe. I mean the one coming from the fender well, behind the battery and beside the wiper fluid container. Can anyone help me?

You'll need to take off the wheel and fenderwall. IIRC on the 99+ the silencer chamber (big oafy box) in the wheelwell is held in by a couple of screws.

jack up the car and remove the plastic shroud in the wheel well, then you can access everything. At least thats how I did it on my SE.

:banghead: one minute too late!!!
Yeah i think there's a couple cheap plactic ones you yank out and one or two 10 mm bolts.

I think I broke those while trying to figure out what was holding it last time I did a 2000 intake. Oops.

I already have the silencer removed cos i have a WAI (just a cone filter). The two bolts are on the outside, right? How about those other couplings or whatever, how do i take them out without breaking them?

I just pulled on the shroud to get them started and grabbed and yanked. It's not too hard.

they should push back. I've had mine in and out 4 or 5 times and I'm still on the originals

try to get under them with a pair of diagonal cutters. don't cut thru them just squease a little and try to pry them out. I got like 10 of 12 out without breaking them.

resonator removal (http://www.n-body.net/tech/index.php)
Check this site out...it gives directions on removing all the resonator piping from inside the fender wall.

Hey Manny, hit me up on AIM or PM cuz i ordered one of ebay as well from LIVESPEED. Do I have to put a coupler over the end of the MAF by warming it up and then put the bigger pipe on the end? I started at 1230 with some help and now its 5:11 and my cars jus chillin in the garage.

you beat me to it!:)
How much would a KN "can" or cone filter stuck in place of the crappy air box do compared to a WAI?

Sorry silversurferGT, i don't aol (i've got msn or yahoo messenger though). I haven't started installing mine yet cos i've been busy with school and work and the cold (we just got 6 inches in MI) and my new baby. :O
I got mine from customxculture on ebay, and i just sent him an email asking for direction on which of the two pieces of the aluminium pipe goes where, cos it didn't come with an installation manual. He's supposed to call me sometime this week.
I'm waiting for when it warms up a little bit so i can install that and the altezza tail lights (bermuda black) i also got from ebay from my car.
