What color should I paint my calipers? I got a silver car with the chromtech wheels and I'm thinking red, like the comp g's. Any opinions?

this is what blue gets you: http://big-b.org/photo/view_photo.php?set_albumName=tintedgrandampics&id=Feb02_03
and with the wheel:

kinda unexpected turn out in color but i love it now!
(also think red is to generic... although not sure what color id go with on your color)

The nice thing with silver is that a lot of colors will go with it well. Either way I agree with ga5speed02. Match whatever color scheme you have going.

anything but white,lol.....Id stay with somewhat dark colors since bright colors take away from the rest of the car, rather show off the rims rather then the calipers, the paint should only compliment the car,not take away.Red is a common used color, you can use it but you'll be just like everyone else.

Brandon, I couldn't get you links to work. I have some blue neons that I took out of my old GA so that would start a blue theme. I never thought of painting the brakes blue though.

I also have a silver GA and I think I'm going with red. I like the looks of the GP's that have them.

I'm still not sure what I'm going to do yet, but even though it's popular, I may go with red. I think it will look the best.

Mine are yellow :)
(I need to repaint them with a bright yellow tho)

Only problem with powder coating the calipers is that they should be disassembled first. And I don't mean just removing them from the vehicle.

yea i know, the seals need to be pressed ouy and you need to get a new seal kit

Don't foget to mask off where the piston and seals go. Powder coating in there will change the dimentions of it and possiblly effect operation.

I was thinking just powder coating the UIM and valve covers. The calipers I'm just gonna paint...too much of a PITA to take apart.
Thanks for the link ga5speed02!

That blue looks really good. I almost made up my mind to go with red until I saw those pics, now I really can't decide.

it is nice, bug im not sure if any can of blue will get you that (we used a heat gun to get the paint to stick.... otherwise it kinda lookedl ike a drop of blood when a drop of water hits it... just kinda ran all over the place... heat gun got it to what it is now. there is another memeber here wh o has blue calipers though, hes the one that convinced me to get them blue too...
