Are there any CAI's out there for a Grand Am as old as mine that will work on the 3100?? I know that I could switch to a 3400, but with a car that old, I would prefer not to. Thanks

If that fails then you can always go custom.

This is what I found http://www.doctorspeed.com/grand_am/grand-am-intakes.html

Will the Stage 2 work for my car? It says that it works for 96-98 3100's, but mine is a 94. Help please.

go to http://www.tranzgenic.com if you want to buy one pre-made for your car...They are the only company that makes a true cai for the 3100...Or you can make your own custom cai by using an intake from a 92-96 Prelude like mine. I don't know how much the engine bay setup is different than a '96 but this is what mine looks like...without my new black couplers.

Thanks nice96gt. Your engine bay looks about the same as mine, but to be safe I will probably order one off the website that you gave. Thank you.

No problem, just for the record I payed $50 for my intake. If you end up wanting to go that route and don't mind customizing a little bit, and maybe saving like $100 then let me know...I have somewhat of a little how-to written up...Hope everything works out for ya. :)

Yup. Thanks. BTW, what kind of power gain can I expect from the CAI? I mean, is it really noticeable? Thanks. If you know of any other performance parts for the 3100, please let me know. I am gonna end up making mine as fast as it can go. Once again, thanks.

You will notice it a little bit...maybe 3-5 hp. The sound it makes though is just awesome! There is tons of stuff that you can do, it just depends on how much money you want to spend. Exhaust, pulleys, supercharger, port n polish the intakes, etc...have a look around on here and you will find a lot of stuff.

Check out rsmracing.com for some ideas in what you can do. They have a lot available for the 3100. :)

Thanks. I wasn't aware that they made a supercharger for the 3100. I thought that it would ruin the tranny, but of course I probably was wrong. :) Once again, thanks.
