i used this vinyl stuff at autozone, but you should put a primer or somethin on first...its a spray, so you would want to take the piece out and hang it up or sumpthing. I used the vinyl stuff and it chips real easy

the best for plastic pieces is called Krylon Fusion... you can find it at any hardware store, or Walmart or Lowe's
I also used a top-coat of rustoleum metallic silver, and clearcoated over that, too. you only really need Krylon Fusion, I just wanted a different color... but I would suggest putting a clearcoat or two on it.

i always found vinyl color by plastic coat to work the best

In my last car the paint I used was duplicolor vehicle paint for plastic pieces, and vinyl/fabric dye spray for the vinyl stuff... never chipped.

I used duplicolor black for vinyl and plastic paints, one black, one red, and one clear coat

It was made by duplicolor... found at autozone it was "interior vinyl and fabric paint" $4.99 a can but I only needed 3 cans to do the door panels GOOD. Thanks for the compliment... I didn't get that crazy in this car yet... but autozone SHOULD have it... the walmart dye does not hold up for crap, so dont get that.

I used the Dupli-color Mirage paints. It's a three part system that changes colors. Everything that was painted was removed and scrubbed with a green scotch brite pad and dish soap. I didn't use any primer, the system comes with a base coat. It's held up now for a year. Pictures on my cardomain site.

So it seems that I should use duplicolor over Krylon fusion then?

It doesn't matter that much, use whatever you want... whichever one has a color you like.

But personally, I am very happy with the Krylon that I used. It worked awesome.
