I suggest pointed towards the rear of the vehicle, but do a search on this topic, its been talked about plenty of times before

towards the rear. with lower freq the wave length is longer.................... (rambles for a while) so point them to the rear.

i like them pointing to the front....when i had them to the rear...not as loud and trunk rattled like crazy.

this has been debated frequently on every forum ive ever been on. To better understand how to point a sub, u need to understand how sound works. Since its 530 in the am i dont feel like doing the searching for you, but hit up google and do a search on sound travel..

overall, the harder pounding will be pointin towards trunk, if u want it to be louder in sound then point towards seats.

Another factor is wether u have a ported or sealed box

I have had mine laying down, pointing up. Facing back and facing front. I can not actually tell much differance at all. Hits just as hard no matter how I face it. I mean it's Bass, you are gonna hear it, it's not like a tweater.
