question to "magyver" about dash color

i saw your cardomain site and traced you back to here..i looked threw your guest book there but you only said 1 thing on there and didnt mention any how-to's, so my simple question is what kind of spray paint did you use on your dash around your tv screen, id like to paint mine that color looks good.

you must be mistaken, its plastic-kote or dupli-color or the brand walmart carries.. truck/van paint, the color is medium blue metalic....

ok cool, did you just spray it with that or did you put something else on it to give it that shine?

i was just looking at some more cardomain pics trying to get an idea how im going to do this, came across 1 guy who said he sanded his dash first what did you all do to get that color just paint over the stock?

i just painted over stock, but to get the most smooth and shiny finish, ya gotta sand your parts first... i didnt, cause i didnt care... but if i were to show, then i woulda...

I painted my dash on my 99. We did a primer coat then the color, then a clear coat. Has held up for 3 years. I got rid of the car and have a new one now. If I paint it again I will probably do the plastic-kote.
