View Full Version : dimmer or illumination I'm confuse

I'm wiring up my Metra 70-2003T (relocation kit) to my alpine harness, and all is good untill I get to this. My alpine harness has a illumination wire, so i connect it to the illumination on my 70-2003T. But the 70-2003T has a dimmer wire too. What the heck do i do with it.

Never mind i figure it out, I found my old volt meter. Illumination is around 12v, and dimmer is also 12 volts but drops as you decrease the switch.

awww thank you I try. :)

Also I was messing around with the second port on my radio to see if I could find a 12v source, so my new one can play 10 min with the car off. I did not find one, but i found this.

These radio had so much potential. Delphi did a good making these.

Yep, when i grounded out pin A I belive, it turns the radio off. In case you have a cell phone connected to it. My Alpine also can do this too.
