question on an install

ok...i think i know the answer to my question, but just curious anyways...

i was looking on ebay and found an in dash dvd/cd/radio player and an in dash 7" monitor...2 seperate units....will these, with some fabrication, both fit into where the stock headunit used to be??? just wondering if anyone has tried this...

Are they single DIN units? If they are, with some minimal modification you should be able to make them fit.

EDIT: You might be better off to put the monitor where the factory HU area is and put the HU (cd/dvd/etc) down below the HVACK controls in that cubby. Just a thought, I know it's been done before.

has anyone done an install like that?? putting a headunit down below the HVAC knobs??? that might a route that i might go with, depending on how hard it would be to get the wiring harness and things like that run to the headunit....

if anyone has any pics of the this kind of install, i would greatly appreciate it if one gets posted....

Yeah, people have put screens up top and put the deck down below. I think running the wires would be the easy party and getting the deck mounted and stuff would be more difficult. Do a search...you'll find somthing out there.
