Well I have a pair of subs and a new amp ready to go into my car. They were in my old ga for a short time and it sounded nice but anyway. I was wondering about those bass control knobs that alot of people have. Its nothing major but just a dial to turn the subs up and down from the front of the car. I thought you just plugged it into the amp and ran it to the front of the car. My problem is I dont know where to find one. Do I need to buy one that is the same brand as my amp or can I buy any one? I bought the amp new(JBL) a couple months ago but it did not come with it and i bought the subs used. I really want a control but I just dont know where to get one from.

usually.. the people who have them.... it came with their amp. I know there is an RCA plug thing that has a control on it.... but the best route is getting an amp with the bass level control.

ohh yeah.. it plugs into something that looks like a phone plug. If you have a spot on your amp that looks like a phone plug.. you can just get one off ebay. if not. sorry bro.

Yup, just look on your amp and see if there's anything that looks like a phone jack on there. If it has one, you can most likely order any bass control knob for your amp, then. I have a MTX amp and a MTX knob and it seriously is a great little tool.

Keep in mind if your amp was made to have remote level control it would have most likely came w/ the amp. You can't just buy a knob & expect it to work. You wouldn't believe how many people buy those surplus control knobs on ebay thinking it'll work on anything. Anyways, just a heads up/ it's not as simple as it appears.

Umm... I don't know of any remote level controls that come with an amp... The companies want to make that extra 12 bucks off of each one they sell seperate.

Really? I buy R.F. & they come w/ the amp. Guess I just assumed other companies did the same.
