ok so i got sick of how my radio used to look in my car. heres a few pics of the revisions i made.

1) old bezel(right) vs new(left). yes thats real carbon fiber.

now just have to find a new alpine radio trim. i molded mine into that last bezel. :lol:

if anyone can get ahold of one for me lemme know...id be much obliged.

Hey you weasel! untill now I think I was the only one w/ the double din & the cassette pocket molded together!:chair:

mines not a double DIN, thats the stock 1.5 din that came in the 99-01. mine had that pocket for the tape deck.

you molded the pocket on there? why?

Ooops! sorry. Looked like a double in the pic. I molded the pocket on to house the control head to my Neo Jukebox (hard drive based mp3 player)

id really appreciate it. either the dark charcoal or silver will work, color doesnt really matter. thanks. i might stop into my old work this wek as well to try and find one, but i dont expect them to be all that accomodating since i havent gone back to say "hi" in months.

haha no worries. if you compare the two in the first photo then youll notice that the radio hole was actually molded to the face of my alpine. that makes the other bezel SEEM to have a larger (2din) opening. :D

i just got sick of seeing it the way it is. im much happier with the results of my newest creation. i was going to put a screen in the bottom portion of the bezel, and angle it up, but i dotn think id get much if any use out of it. i decided that simpler is better for me.

we dint have any, but you inspired me to change my bezel too... had a few bubbles anyways and got an idea to get rid of my screens buttons and ir sensor... time for dremel abuse...

its so wierd for me to have the radio that far back. im almost having trouble reading it so far away. :lol:

Dave, I know we did 2 Alpine (CDA9825's) today tat were Iso-ed so there are 2 trim rings still around. If one will work for you, let me know. PM me

he did a lot of work...including fiberglass, cutting, bondo, sanding, sanding, sanding, sanding, and paint.
