Alright, here's my dilema: I am looking to buy a cold air intake for my 2.4L Grand Am. There's about 3 different intakes that I'm looking at:
RSM Racing Cold Air Intake (9-12HP) at $190
http://rsmracing.com
Weapon R Dragon Cold Air Intake (??-??HP) at $110
Iceman Cold Air Intake (??-??HP) at $195
Which one is the better bet and better performance? I'm leaning towards the RSM CAI, but I wanted the professionals over here to give me their opinions. ;)

Not the Weapon R. I thought that Iceman just made a WAI and I don't know about RSM. I know Induction Dynamics makes a CAI for the 2.4L but I think it's pretty expensive. From what I have found out you get what you pay for when it comes to cars.

There's the link to the iceman CAI, maybe it's a misprint. How much are the Induction Dynamics CAI and wats the HP gain? If anyone knows...
And their site does not offer an oline store at the moment so where do u get these?

Hey there is a entire thread about cold air intakes right below this one. So you might want to look there before you start asking questions. BTW you have a 2.4 twin cam, not a quad4

I say go with the RSM one.
You can get an AEM one from www.carcustoms.net for $145. Thats pretty cheap....and he has FAST service. I have an AEM and I love it.
The CAI's don't make that much of a differene (if any) over WAI...mostly due to the longer piping of the CAI has more of a negative effect.
There a post about this on jbody.org. yes....somebody actually did an "intake experement".
Don't get the ICEMAN or Weapon R....they don't even remove the most important part....the black box over the T.B.

aight the aem one gets on average around 7 more horsepower and the rsm gets more so i guess ill go with the rsm unless someone can give me the specs on the induction dynamics one.

if you want a CAI get the ID intake, they are the only CAI for the grand am. The rest are WAI, i use to have the Iceman intake, i liked it, miss it, then theres AEM and the others you listed. it really donest matter, you can even buy a cheap intake off ebay for like 40 bucks shipped that looks just like the rest.
