View Full Version : Anyone hear of a Pontiac Pursuit

Well this morning i was laying in bed watching tv and saw a commercial for the all new Pontiac Pursuit. Well i some looking around its a Cdn only car... and im not too sure which car it replaces for the american car? But here is a link to the gallery of the car to Pontiac Canada site...

But as for pricing this car is dirt cheap... so it must be there affordable pontiac vehicle... anyways heres the link and post what u guys think

That's the Pontiac version of the Chevy Cobalt, it doesn't look too bad. It will probably replace the Sunfire since that's going away this year. If you search around, there has been some discussion about this already, though.

That looks very similar to the G4 concept we had to phoshop for the conest a little while ago...I saw one around christmas time, they are a nice little car for the price tag.

In recent years GM has been making some very bad business decisions, it's catching up w/ them. ON the brighter side they got somethign right. Anyone check out the Buick Lacrosse? Not exactly a car for a GA lover but it definately hits the mark in the mid priced luxury car segment. Fit, finish & build quality can stand up against the best of them & it's got a brilliantly designed & trimed interior:)

Yes the Pursuit is in Canada ( I should check out my local dealer see if they have one). I kinda like it form the Pics, but well wait to see one in person.

Just a side note in Canada the Buick Lacrosse is called the Buick Allure

... Funny how they change car names in different markets isn't it? Do Americans think "Pursuit" is dorky or offensive in some manner? Do the Canadians think that of "Lacrosse" ? I doubt it so most of the time these name changes baffle me. They must think some how that the car buying public cares more about the name & less about whether or not it's a good car. I dunno. - At times mystifying, none the less.

its a POntiac Cobalt... oh man! It had be come s/c just like the cobalt SS...But I bet it doesnt! Either way its alright, just not for me.

OMG! no way?!?! lol. Ya, I knew there were a few auto nameplates out there changed because the tranlated to unsavory names in other languages but I didn't know that of Lacrosse. I guess w/ alot of Frech speaking population I can see why the nixed that name up north!:lol: - That's just WAY funny!:lol:

It's an important thing to consider.. I don't remember what car, but we had some car in american, they tried to sell in mexico.. but in mexico the name ment "doesn't go" or something similar to that. :)

The last version of the Nova was aptly named for the Mexican market then;)

Meh....glad I got a Sunfire. From what I heard the Cobalts are real turds and the electric steering is greatly bad.

Went to the Dealershop Yesterday. Not a bad looking car It is alittle bigger then the Sunfire.

Had a hard time getting apic of the inside due tot he sun, bu here is a pic of the White Faced gauges.

Maybe if the headlights were a little more low-profile, it would look better. If you notice, most of Pontiacs cars have low-profile headlights, like the GA, Grand Prix, GTO, and Firebird.

They are exactly the same as the 4dr Cobalt with a Pontiac grill.
