In the US, you'd be lucky to get $2500 to trade it in; maybe $4k to a private buyer. Just my best guess.

Replacement items / repairs do not count for the value of a car.

wow...... adding leather seats to my car adds $300 to the trade-in value.... and adding a CD changer adds $125.... hmmmmm...........

$6000 or so, safety checked and E- certified (if in Ontario). Of course that's if you sell privately. Trade in considerably less.

2,425.00 USD United States Dollars = 2,937.59 CAD Canada Dollars trade in.

3,925.00 USD United States Dollars = 4,754.73 CAD Canada Dollars Private party.

that is the problem with having a bunch of new stuff.. they hardly give you any money for it. it's 'normal maintainance' but if someone has it all done vs none of it done, that adds up quick.

you're probably better off selling privately, so you tell the person about all the new stuff and sell him on it,

135K on a 99 2.4L will net you about 6500-7000 Cdn. Hence why I dont try and sell my baby, way too many kms on it.

It doesn't matter. You either sell someone a car with parts that didn't break yet, or you sell them a car that had a few repairs taken care of... it's all the same. Only the gullable fall for "but I have new this & that.." kinda lines. That's like every single eBay auction saying the car was "babied" and "garage kept" etc. :roll2: Of course there's the "as is, needs work" variety... but most of those cars are worth 1/2 the value of a fully working car.

Personally I'd rather purchase a car with original stock parts, even if worn. In my experience it's the aftermarket parts-store variety parts that just don't last.

I figured it at 135000 miles.

I assumed 135k kms as well. And that's what I based my estimate on. That and it sounds like it is not a very well optioned SE (roll up windows).
