I have a 95 ga SE. The other day I was on my way home, and I noticed my ABS light on. so I slammed on my brakes to see if they still work, and the tires just locked up. Anyone know what could couse this? I know on my friends mazda it was his speed sensor. And that was like 300-400 to fix. Thanks

It's a good possibility that's what your problem is: speed sensor.
BUT, a couple other things, first:
1. Look around at each hub, and find the ABS sensor wires that plug-in. Make sure they're clean and tight.
2. For GA's, the ABS light will come 'on' when the battery gets low on juice/the batt cables are loose or dirty/or the alternator is no longer charging enough.
(This is often accompanied by other dash lights and strange electrical gremlins).
The ABS computer senses there *might* not be enough reserve electrical power for it to operate properly in an emergency/panic stop, and turns itself off.
When ABS is 'off', it is no different than the millions of non-ABS brakes that have been sold in the last 3 decades.
Works just fine, but no ABS feature.
so, look around and inspect those electricals.
Next step would be go to a brake specialist, there's nothing else, to my knowledge, you can do to self-diagnose ABS on this vehicle.
Good luck.

The only other thing that has been wierd, is when I punch it, the battery light flickers on. And then one it stops reving to high, it stops flickering. I just bought the car a couple of months ago, but the altenator looks like it's new. I just put a new belt on it too. So I dunno. Maybe the altenator is shot. would that make sence?
