my hardwire kit for my radar is coming today...and i want to wire it to a power source that will only turn on when the cars running. i looked at the fuse panel on each sides of the dash...but where the hell can i stick a wire in at? do i just pull out a fuse, put in the wire, then push the fuse back in? on my old blazer, there were empty spots where i could put in the wire that would work.......all the empty spots on my car now dont looks like they have contacts with metal...its just plastic holes?

when I wanted power for the cruise I tapped the fuse box on the passenger side. I used a tap kit I bought (I think at NAPA). it was a spade terminal with a little connection that fit in where one of the legs fit. worked for me but I originally thought it would only be temporary and would fall out but never did. maybe when I hard wire my detector I'll find out how to do it "right".

You dont even need those connectors, when I put lights in I just wrapped the wire around an existing fuse and stuck it back in. My not be "right", but it works great.
