I did it on the side last summer, but lately I have had no time for anything so this summer might be different. We will see.

Used to detail cars about 10 years ago, now I hardly have time to do my own. My bike gets full treatment about 4 times a week.

I work with a detailer at my body shop... I pretty much just help her clean and detail, and she teaches me all the tricks of the trade, its really interesting. We mostly deal with cars that have just been painted so we are sanding the dirt out of the paint, getting runs out and such.

I used to work for a dealership a couple years ago doing it. Although the pay wasnt good, it was a heck of a learning experience, I use things I learned there every time I detail my rides.

Worked for 3 years at a very large dealership. I haven't been there for about 2 years now, but I can still clean the hell out of my car.

I do detailing on the side, it's soooo great to see a car that's just GROSS and step back.. and see your reflection in it.. Even if someone else drives off with it :)

Back in '98 I managed the detail shop for a Chrysler store in Albuquerque, NM. It was probably the most fun I've ever had at a job. In addition to doing quickie-jobs like lot-and-sold prep, my shop also did full details for outside customers (some on the side.)

After that I worked for a mobile paint-and-body outfit, that did minor repairs right on the dealers' lots, working out of the back of an S-10 pickup. It was grueling work, but I learned a lot.

Today, I devote almost all my energies to keeping my car clean, but every now and then I'll do a detail as a favor. My next project is a friend's '89 XJ6, that's been through hell and back.

i do it for friends. i want to start doing it. some people have been like " hey, detail me car becasue yours looks good." thats when i cringe and say, thanks, but i can do, "blah blah blah." lol. im too picky. its never clean. but yeah, i want to do it more. i offer it along with my window tinting abilities.

Yep - that's exactly me!!!!
I detail on the side for extra cash.
I'm on the web at detailbyanthony.tripod.com
I like doing it - I just wish I had help that works like I do, because it slows down how much I can do since I only have weekends to do it...

I work at a used car dealership, we deal mostly in cars 1-4 years old that come in off-lease. It is pretty easy work, I've been doing it for about 6 months and I gotta say I'm pretty good at it ;).
