Well what do you guys think of this? I know I wont get the same sound like I would with an amp but do ya think it will still sound ok? Or do you think I shouldnt use a crossover at all.

If your not going to amp I wouldn't waste money on a crossover.

well that's kinda iffy. if you're adding a sub i would put some type of crossover, or bass blocker, on the cabin speakers to keep them from ultimately blowing. cause if you add a sub you'll more than likely turn the bass up on the reciever, which will turn the bass up to all the speakers. you wont be able to hear the smaller speakers distort because the sub will drown that part out. after a while the speakers are going to blow due to distortion.

personally i like crossovers. i've had one on every one of my systems. even if i was just adding a sub and amp for it i'd go ahead and use an electronic low pass crossover. amps have crossovers, but they dont work as well as a dedicated, stand alone crossover. they just keep all the signals going to the right speakers and help keep the wrong frequencies from going to the wrong driver.
