Well i have done some research, and i've found out that 95' Cavalier and 95'Grand Am brake rotors are the same.So i was wondering if anyone knows if Cavalier coil springs will fit a GA.Do you think it's worth a try?Trav :???:

Brakes are the same but suspension isn't. Coilovers don't work on 92-98 GA's period due to our rear trailing arm design where the springs and struts are in different places. Coilovers in the front might work but what would be the point then?

I wasn't really thinking about coilovers, just springs.Oh by the way i love the front of your car! Trav

Im sure ya could use the coil overs in the rear, just will be one hell of a harsh ride,lol....I had and idea on making some kind of custom thing for the rear for the 96-98's but can't weld and it would cost arm and a leg for someone else to do it

The suspension on the FRONT of a Jbody is pretty close to a 99 on up Grand Am...as for the rear, you could in theroy use J body coilovers.
Honestly, the only difference I have seen (since I owned a 1997 GA and now a 2004 Sunfire) between the rear axles is that the 95-98 Grand Am springs are mounted on the axle, whereas the J body has this half assed spring/shock setup all in one area. Take a look at one then your GA to see what I mean.

Someone tried J-body coilovers on a 92-95 GA back in the day. At the 'highest' setting the thing was just about dragging on the ground... it couldn't be driven.

So do you think lowering springs for a Cavalier will fit on my 95' though?Trav

I wouldn't suggest it, unless some with some suspension expertise can chime in whether or not its a good idea,if your buying springs just buy springs made for the GA,not like we don't have springs made for our GA's. Plus the GA weighs more and your going to possibly run into some problems with that

No. Both Eibach and Intrax have springs for you application. Both are solid choices.

Heh, getting the car on/off the trailer would be interesting. It's hard enough getting a standard 2" lowered car with aftermarket body on/off without having clearance issues.
