I am not sure if I am putting this in the right section but I was wondering if any one could help me out. What is the purpose of the strut bar?? It may be a stupid question but if anyone could humor me that would be great. Thanks!

It stiffens up the body of the car so that during cornering or heavy maneuvering there is less flexing. As Joe said, it improves the overall handling of the car. :)

Is there any one person that should get one or would it help out some one like me who uses the car as a daily driver.

Mine is a daily driver and I think my STBs are as good as a mod gets. You won't be sorry if you get them.

And remember that a 95+ cavalier STB fits on the 99+ GA. It'll save you about $100 if you get one from ebay.

I got a ebay bar. Look under 95 - 01 Cavalier or Sunfire.
Don't get a 87 - 94 Cavalier bar. It doesn't fit anything I know of. I tried it on a 96 Achieva and a 96 GA. The holes line up but the bar hit the brake fluid bottle.
BTW I have a 87 - 94 Cavilier bar for sale, brand new! Still in the wrapper.
