Pressure Washer

Does anyone know if I can use regular car soap in my pressure washer, or do I need to keep buying the expensive soap, specifically designed for pressure washers? The washer is 1700 psi, and will dispense soap when using it on a low pressure. Any help is appreciated.

should be able to use car soap. i have on mine... and the one we used at work we used the cheapest stuff we could get off the shelf (wasnt car or "pressure washer soap" either....

ec- I hope you aren't using that on your paint, you should only use that on wheel wells and tires...

On the paint it will cause minor scratches due to the debris in your paint and the pressure of the water hitting them.

Thanks for the tip, Normally I dont use it, but I find it good or when the car isn't really dirty, and I need a quick cleaning. I will now try to break that habit.:)
