Has anyone used the ST (SpringTech) lowering springs on EBAY? I was wondering about the quality.

The price seems nice just wanna make sure they aren't overly bouncey or cheap springs.

I've heard good things, springtech = sprint. So I plan on buying ST struts and springs soon, maybe in may/june. :) look for my car then.

I sent them an email to see if they had the spring and strut sets available.

Ive got the Sprints or ST's(same deal) and they are good springs, you won't be bouncing all over the place, lowering springs won't bounce, they just hit or feel harder when you hit a bump depending on how good of shocks/struts you have. The only thing I regret is that the rear didn't lower as much as Id like. The front lowered 2inches but the rear only lowered about 1.5 or so. I had to cut my stock springs to bring the rear level to the front but still think the rear isn't quite level and see too much of a gap for my taste in the rear. Id suggest Intrax if you want a level drop all the way around. Ive got a body kit so actually Im glad my car is not slammed otherwise Id have to get rid one or the other and either one I don't wanna get rid of lol

Do you still have the stock rims or have you upgraded yet. I will probably have 17s on mine when i purchase the springs and struts.

Ive got stockers on right now, lol. Upgrading to 18's here by summer or so, depending on the tire size the gap might look smaller. It might be the white paint on the shock in the rear that makes the gap look big, might need to paint it black so it looks lower, lol

let us know if they can get a group buy.

alright, off topic, but just for something to talk about.

i've heard that we should get camber kits for when we use aftermarket springs but I think that's dumb.

When a car gets lowered, the tires would be tilting inward right, on the vertical axis like this / \ a degree or so right? well, this would be beneficial to those of us who take our corners a bit harder than usual. granted, sure there may be a bit more tread wear on the insides and maybe ride a bit different going straight, but 1 degree really isn't going to hurt us.

so, is it ok to say screw the camber kit and leave it dropped as-is?

I didn't need a camber kit and they are not necessary unless your lowering 3inches or more,on most cars thats about the amount it requires a camber kit. All I had to do was get aligned at a shop.

And as for leaving the top of the tires pointed inward and having the bottom sticking out is not good on the tread unless you in some sort of circuit racing or NASCAR where they have huge banks in the corners in which the tires would need to be angled like that, other wise your going to be buying tires constantly

I'm 99.9% sure that those aren't for our generation GA. Just get a set of springs.

You guys should have a look at these springs Canuck Motorsports (http://canuckmotorsports.com/). They are basicaly the same as SpringTech. I talked to the guy who distributes them and he stands behind them 100%. Check them out. These are the springs that I will be getting soon.
