View Full Version : Location of Mas Air Flow Sensor

I searched here, didn't find much. Pardon's if it has been posted.
I've been reading, mostly on the 3.3 forum, about hesitation and stuttering. Looks like a dirty MAS was the prob and I'd like to try that before going any further.
Anyone have a pic, or drawing, of where the sensor is on a 99 GA??

Right hand side of engine bay, its attached to the air box, it aluminum with plastic in the middle.

Thanks for the info...
I removed the 4 torx screws to expose the sensors, and blasted them with Kleen-Flo throttle-body spray cleaner. Seemed to work like a charm!!! No more stuttering/hesitation.
I'll check again later tonite.

Now that you've got that far you may as well take the rest off and clean the TB as well .....;)

thats the old, rip the maf screen off mod, right? does that do anything? because my mom owns a 99 3400 SE, and I want to secretly mod it, so when my 97 GAGT gets beat, ill take out her big 01 SE and whoop some monkey ass.
