Hey guys n gals
Well, let me start by saying what a great site this is. Very well put together and nice people too!
We just got a 2002 Grand AM SE with 80000 miles for my girl friend as her first car.
It's really a nice car! I remember the last domestic car anyone in my immidiate family owned was an 85 Chevette! And I was like 4-5 years old when we got it and we had it for probably around 6 years and man, did I love that little car but I remember it gave us a lot of hassle towards the end so my parents decided to not to get any more domestics since that.
Anyhow, I was pleasently surprised by the Grand AM.
This car we got was owned by one guy who had to commute back n forth between San Diego and his place about 2 hours away hence the high miles but it is in perfect condition! And I mean perfect! I checked it myself from top to bottom, even drove it for a good 15 mins and it ran flawless. The only issues were with brake rotors and suspension which is about right for 80K miles. The owner also had all the receipts indicating all the proper maintenance at proper intervals. Also CARFAX showed a clean 1 owner title. The paint is flawless! Not a single dent and body panels are perfectly spaced with a glossy finish.
We got it for 6400 and it's a burgandy color with Cruise Control. I was wondering what do you guys think of the price?
Anyhow, I have a few things in mind and a few questions to ask after I finish going through some of the current threads :D
