Tried searching, but didn't really find what I wanted.

Driving home on the interstate today, the back driver's side tire blew on me. I have a nice inch by inch hole on the edge of the tread. Bought the car new last Feb and still have the original tires. Is there any type of warranty, either by Pontiac or Goodyear on the tires, or will I have to fork out for a new one.

I'm not sure, but I'm guessin you'll just have to buy a new one. A tread split might be covered, but it sounds more like something might have puncture it or I dont know. But It's always worth a shot IMO. never hurts to ask the company. good luck with it.

Yeah that's what i was thinking. Best bet would be to give the dealership a call to find out

you'll probably have to end up buying a new one. that's why they sell road hazard warranties for tires. calling will never hurt though.

I don't think the goodyear RS-As have a warranty. Goodyear calls them a performance tire. But i would still try the dealership. If they care about there customers and something like this happening, i would think they would help out a little anyway. They will propabably consider how many miles and stuff are on the tires, and prorate it for you. Which would still be better then buying a whole new one by yourself.
Good luck

I had my two rear tires blow and I bought the extended warranty from the dealer so I got them for free
