After all the problems i've been having with this car it's now revolving around a rough idle and now it's starting to sputter real bad. The only thing i did was change the plugs but i think i gaped them wrong so tues. i'm pulling them back out. But as far as the idle thing goes is that even in park it kinda idles rough and shakes weather in park, rev., or drive, not as much when in gear. But at a idle and under the hood reving the engine it hesitates or bogs or something like that effect, but only if you "goose" the throttle, if you go steady it goes fine. My gas mileage went up to about a little over 200 miles to a tank compared to 130 so that part is a plus. Now once the car is going it fine, sometimes doing it when going into passing but not all the time. Most of the time is when you start up the car put it in gear and press the gas to go it stumbles sometimes for a little bit and sometimes for a second and then goes. I'm thinking a fuel pump, air filter, or something much more indepth??? I'm hoping that i can get this car running again, when it does run it flies, So can someone please help?????

It's been replaced twice already.

I still don't see where you have changed the air filter.
Miss gapped plugs are a bad thing also.

Change the air filter, why?
Well, if you give the computer enough time to make up for the fact that it's not getting enough air, it runs. When you step in it, the throttle body butterfly flap is wide open, allowing the most possable amout of out side air to get in.

Your coumputer is going in a simi hunt mode for the right Air, Fuel mixture. So it has no choice but to go up and down as it is always trying to set the idle correctly.

Or, Hay I could be wrong....been before.......

But it's only like a 10 to 20 dollar part.

Hey garunner, I know this is a little off-topic, but I know a little while ago you were talking about your problem where sometimes the car would kinda shake before it was gonna change gears, and you had to push down the gas quite a bit to get it to shift up... ring a bell? Well, is that still happening? If not, what did you do to fix it?

Frist things first...The car is running ok , a little miss here and there but ok. As far as the bucking thing is going, it happens very rarely now. What ends up happening is i guess there is sensors or something like that, controls the shifting pressure and the engaging of the torque converter and they get clogged a little causing the bucking. So far all i did is beat the crap out of the car and fiddle around with the engine a little and so far has been working great. Sometimes doing it but not offten, so i'm not quite sure how i fixed it but i did.....kinda
