Has anyone else had to replace their tires on their G6 yet. I am a very conservative driver and I had to replace my tires already. I had the continential tires and I only got 8000 miles out of them. I was quite upset. These tires suck. Let me know if you have had bad tire wearing issues.
Thanks
Sharon

I work at a Nissan Dealer and the Altimas have Continentals on them that wear fast, too. Its not the car.
I think I would have to rant on the dealer who sold me the car

Our Vibe came with Continentials, and they didn't last very long either. We put Goodyear assurance triple treads on it and those tires are wearing like iron so far.

Interesting. Im at 8000 miles mild driving and they arent that worn. But I dont like the tires, the Eagle RSA's on the GA GT are better.

The Eagle RSA's aren't exactly the longest lasting either. The ones that came on my Stratus coupe only lasted a little over 20k miles...which isn't too bad, I guess, but not great by any means.

I think the Eagle RS-As aren't that bad. Had my car since last August and went though the winter with them and i thought they handled great for a north dakota winter. How ever if i ever get new tires i think i'll get something else. I hear the Assurance triple tread is a nice tire and last a long time. Anyway its just my opinion on the RS-As. I know alot of you people out there don't like them but i think there ok.

I'm currently on Kelly Navigator Gold, and I love them! Not too expensive, and a 75,000 mile treadwear warranty.

:iagree: But they're still 10X better than the Eagle LS. :)
Goodrich T/A touring, they wear like iron but handle well especially in bad weather.

I just purchased Bridgestone Turanza's and they are noticeably better and a much better ride. I work for a tire dealer in PA and they are a little expensive even with my discount. But If they wear as good as I have been told then I am willing to pay the price.

I fully agree. Goodyear Eagle RSA are J-U-N-K, not to mention Goodyear thinks they are worth $120 each. For half the price I got twice the tire with our Kumhos.

Exactly that was my point. I dont like the Eagle RSA's or the LS's I have never replaced them with the same tires after the stock has warn out on any of the GM cars I have owned. But the continental tires on the G6 arent good at all. I would definantly take the RSA's before them. I think I would even take the LS's they at least lasted longer.

I know a lot of BMW's come with Continentals, and I have heard a lot of stories about them giving out after less than 10k miles. Sounds like the ones that come OEM are junk. Anyone bought them as replacements and know if the treadlife is any better?

i know that at work we have an 05 passat with 6k miles on it with continentals, and it came back from a rental with NO tread on the fornt tires, and the metal was showing around both inside and outside edges. the rears were like brands new still. no figer prints on the rims in the brake dust, so they were not changed. there might have been fowl play, but it loosk like the OEM continentals SUCK!!!
damn, and sandy got them on her altima 3.5...ill have to warn her.

I put over 50k in my z24. The key is having them rotated often.

Thanks for your comments. I work for a tire dealer and I made sure that they were rotated every three thousand miles along with my oil change. They were spin balanced everytime too. Perhaps I just got a bad set. I know that my boss was quite shocked on how bad they were.

Eagles are overrated expensive trash IMO.
I hate them. I could've payed when i was looking for new tires 170 CAN a piece for BFG Traction T/A's or 250 i think it was for Eagle HT-R or some crap like that... you can guess which one I picked... and they are tons better...

I agree.
I was always a die hard BFG fan but ever since I tried the Kumhos I say they are a great bang for the buck.

Our rental Taurus's have continentals and we have never had a problem with them. Some of our Taurus's have 40K+ on them, with no new tires.....
My office alone has 8-10 with aprox 40K+ on them.
That's terrible tire wear Sharon. Sorry to hear that. How do u like ur G6 ? I gotta
say I've had great luck and i really like my BFG Traction T/A's. Good luck to ya!
