Looks like I wont be back for a repeat...I'm stuck in Florida trying to find enough money and time to come up to New York again. My car isnt up to par visually anyway...its got no carpet, door panels, headliner, backseat..... Although it is running .6 sec faster than last summer, due to some new (used) engine parts and their unusual application.

I will try to get there, but if not, theres always next year.

Who cares if you dont have all of your car. Its still a good time to relax. You know drinking in the parking lot, attempt to go to jail, push a few people off a hood, you know the fun stuff.

drinking in the parking lot definately was good..

and so was LVD...on mustang day.

Good news is, I got hired as a manager in training at Radio Shack yesterday....so I may have the money in time..

I'll be delivering my SOLD TwinCamGT to the buyer at GAOC-Albany...so I'll be there, and so will the car...and all of its parts.

so, what new (used) parts made you drop .6 seconds of your 1/4 mile time. And what did you end up running? a 15.3?

last summer at lebanon valley was a 16.6..this february at orlando speed world I got a 15.922@85.38...low 50's, low humidity, high pressure..perfect night at OSW, on the 2.3L head. I ran it again in march and got a 16.4@83...with only intake, exhaust, motor mounts and stripped out on the 2.4L head and block.

I had a 2.3L HO head from a junkyard Beretta installed after my collision in Oct. I had one of the local mod shops mill it and match it up best as possible...but it ran for a few months and then started ticking really bad, and the car was running rough. Maybe it would have been better if it were done by a shop that could make all necessary adjustments and tweaking. Or maybe it would have been better just to jack the cams and not the whole head...

I swapped it back out with my twincam 2.4L stock head in March when I was working at the Chevy dealership. Good move on my part there, the stock head is smoother sounding, and better on fuel economy. I still have 2 pieces from the beretta, the IDI cover and the intake manifold...they are going with the car to the buyer.
