Just thought I'd stop in and say howdy. Just bought a white '89 Grand Am, 2.5L 5-speed for $500 as a get-around car for the significant other. Pretty clean and straight too, will get some pics taken soon.
A little about me. I'm actually a *gasp* Ford guy, and have a Lincoln Mark VIII daily driver, as well as a '90 Mustang LX 5.0 notch project car and an '85 Lincoln Mark VII road race project car. I've been workin' on cars since, well, since I could pick up a wrench. Right now I'm in college working on a mechanical engineering degree, and work on campus as a teaching assistant and lab aide.
I don't know what mods if any the Grand Am will get, probably an exhaust, at least a muffler (no coffee cans), and maybe some suspension goodies as the car is pretty wobbly right now if you get into it.
And probably lower profile wheels and tires.
And a stereo.
And...
