Hello all, I should have posted this a while ago, but instead I started yapping in other forums first.
I owned a 89 Grand Am. I liked it but I gave it away when it became aparent I could no longer afford the extensive repair it needed. It was badly neglected when I got it and it had the obligatory paint fade. Also all the hoses, belts, and weatherstripping were hard. I've had cars parked outside for 10 years without that happening. I swear this car must have been stored in an oven,
I then bought a Burgany 97. Personally I never cared for that body. It was nice but it wasn't me. It was a v6 SE 3100 4 door.
I traded it a few weeks ago for a 93 victory red 4 door GT. I think this body style carries 4 doors better, but I got a 4 door because it was everything else I wanted. All the options except leather which I will not have on any car. It's parked outside and I don't want my heiny incenerated on a sunny day. I bought the grill kit for it and a stubby antena. The car seems to be lowered in the front about an inch, has a monsoon system, factory chrome 16" wheels, sunroof, etc. I bought sylvania silverstar fog lights but I'm not overly excited by them. They cost too too much for their marginal improvement and the less than half expected life. If the last a while I might get the headlights, maybe not. I'm considering going HID for the headlights, but I'll probably never do it. HID is the thing of the future.
I'm currently looking for another car to play with. I want a Fiero or perhaps and 80's model Grand Prix. I'll decide when I find one at a price I can afford when times are better. right now I'm dirt poor, but I need a project car for my sanity. I have considered getting another late 80's model, but I feel like I should do something different this time around. An 80's model, lowered in the front with a body kit on it and a good two tone from the trim down is a sweet little toy though.
