New member, new pics!

Greetings all, Im a regular over at GAGT.com, but never ventured over here. Hopefully I'll recieve a warm welcome.

Anyway, I just got myself a pair of TYC tails, and am pretty happy with em, also installed my DRL override kit, which is also pleasing, lol.

XoticGA, just some black vinyl I picked up from the local motocycle store. Its actually made for dirt bike number plate backgrounds, so its real thick, which I think contributed to the fact that they are a bit wrinkled and has a couple air pockets. Actually, my crappy application job most likely had something to do with that as well. :eek:

Hey thanks for the compliments on the shine! Meguiars 3-step with the third step being the NXT liquid wax. Three coats of that and I try to keep it up every 3 months or so.

I was just looking at this shot, thinking, "damn, I could shave with that reflection!", lol, tootin my own horn.

The exhaust tips are horrible though, Ive tried everything to clean them things off, they stay descent for a couple weeks and thats about it.

Dan, ?, the car is painted. I have yet to get the keyjob fixed though, I should have the money for repairs soon. It really brings the car down, but if your a good 10 yards away, you can barely see it. Luckily though, my Mom works at a dealership and has body shop friends, so I'll be getting the scratches fixed for $400 bucks! Not exactly something Id like to be spending (that could go to exhaust or something else sweet), but Im thankful to have a good hook up.

lol, BAAA! Yea, Im actually growin out the doo now so Im all shaggy, but I used to go with the spikes. Everyone game me the "you look like Wayne Static" thing, but it was no where near that tall.

Nope, not painted. Im thinking about covering up that bottom reflector with some black vinyl though.

I know someone who painted their TYC tails though, her username is Abbaby, or something simliar. They turned out looking AWESOME, but since they already have TYCs that come in black, I didnt have to worry about it.

TYCs painted silver would look PRREEETTY sharp... hint hint... nudge nudge. Unless you already have tails, no shots of the backend of your baby in that other thread.

yea i saw here. they look sweet. i think Vanishing Image gave her the idea. but anyway if they are bakc thats just as cool. yea i have the AED tails and they are paint to match. dont want to post a big pic and step on your thread

lol, oops. You have the best tails available... my bad. I used to have a pair of the AED bullseyes, but times were tough a couple months ago and I had to sell them. I got em used off ebay for a solid price, which is a difficult task I would say, but oh well.

^ yea i agree, finding them on ebay must have been hard. i accually happen to love the TYC tails. i am a fan of TYC. bought some of their tails for previous(sp) cars. but i plan on shaving my tails anyway hahaha

wow that car looks great. i love black GAGTs, but mine never seems to shine like yours. i was gonna try zaino, im still contemplating it. did you also have problems with your AED tails? i do, as well as ga5speed02 does. the TYC ones i hear dont have that problem.

Problems as far as what? I know trying to get the lense properly adhered was about the most irritating thing evaaar. Other than that I had no problems.

hmmm...with my headlights or parking lights on, if i use my turn signals, they flash fast, but only while using my brakes. funny thing is...that problem doesnt occur with the emergency lights, and thats the onyl condition that it occurs on. supposedly the resistor in the circuit is not correct or something. not a major problem considering i dont drive the car much anymore...but still kind of annoying.

yea same here. at night with my lights on just like 2 led's blink till i hit my breaks then its a "slow bullzeye". i am thinking about by-passing the resistor and hard wireing it to the origanl harnes, till i shave them.

Everyone was talking about my shine so I figured Id take some shots of the reflection, as you can obvioiusly see, Im quite the hardass, as displayed by the finger. Uh huh... yup. edit: Just kidding by the way... I hate the "Oh theres a camera, better flip it off" guy.

Welp, today is a bit of a project day. Wrapping my door panels in black, painting my key fob, guttin' my interior to do some more painting (all dark gray parts are going black, contemplating re-doing the entire interior scheme) and some other little crap. Here are some shots of whats going on...

These I wanted to include because I know a lot of people interested in changing the color of lights in their interior (myself included) and was interested in knowing what the inside of the shift indicator looked like, welp, here ya go, including the 194 bulb location!

Door panels complete, not bad. The spray adhesive really sucks, had to pull one apart and re-do it, I'll probly end up taking it all apart again and dying it, unfortunately, but it looks solid and I suppose if the glue holds up over the summer, I'll leave it. Also working on clearing the window and door lock knobs, then puttin an led under them, that will have to wait until gagt.com is back so I can get to the How-To.

Alright, just got around to taking pics. I cleared the door lock and window knobs, but havent sanded em down and clear coated them yet. I want to put leds under them, Magyver style, but Im a bit chicken-sh1t. Anyway, also painted the console and radio bezel around the red, a nice glossy black... it looks like glass in person, so Im pretty happy. Still some parts yet to paint, but its gettin there. Sorry for the crappy pic quality, enjoy.
